John 15:15

I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

The Sponsors are, above all, friends of their candidate. Their first role is to express and grow this friendship. By sponsoring, they experience “having someone with whom to walk” in true friendship and genuine thirst for Christ.

Before the Way of Christ, they take care of filling in the registration form and submitting it to the persons in charge. They prepare their candidates, answer their questions and help them to fully enjoy the experience. They are looking to overcome any impediments that may arise regarding their participation on the weekend.

After the weekend, their friendship continues to show whenever the opportunity arises. They are particularly helpful in facilitating the integration of their candidate into the Way of Christ community.
